My favorite photo of yours so far is number 5. I like the way that you captured things that are so involved in everyday life. You took something so simple and make the viewer look at it through a different perspective. The angle really makes the colors stand out.
14 seems to be drawing me in because of the lack of information I am getting. The only prominent colors I see are in the center of the photo while everything else is very dark so it creates a fear. We can't tell if the figure is walking towards us or away from us which I think heightens the sense of fear and danger.
Jared, I hope everything is going well with channeling your anger issues, because these photos are definitely no indication that there has been any progress made. So I will try to go easy on you. I think my favorite shot is #14 - the red/blue cop lights are dynamic and pop out from the dark foreground of the photo. I know this was taken right before your attempts to flee the scene and subsequent arrest, but there is still an element of mystery surrounding the image. #8 also intrigues me - the yellow colors indicate cheese. But why did the photographer take this photo? Was he in a state of obsession? Was this a cold remark to the Velveeta company, whose logo is out of sight in the bottom left hand corner of the frame? And that slogan - "CHEESY MADE EASY" - there are definitely some Marxist undertones that I think you capture very well. Nice job.
Jared, you really seem to focus on textures, which is cool I guess...? #3 and #13 are both fantastic because they show who you truly are. You love money and you love food. What can I say? The lighting in #3 is really nice. You should work more on your self-portraits...you should...but you can't!....you should...but you should go on a walk!
Image 14 is my favorite I like how it sets up a scene and pulls is in. All your close up shots are interesting angles but I know exactly what they are photos of. Image 14 involves a sense of drama through light and the slight blur of certian areas. Nice job!
I like #3. The contrast of green and red colors is simple and just pleasant to look at. I also like the mysterious nature of 14, the eye travels naturally toward the light, so you kind of wonder what could be happening around the scene, or what happened before this picture was taken.
