I think 2,8,6 are your strongest images. I think many of them have nice compositions but the filters could have been pushed more I think that in image 2 The de-saturated blurry color on the tops of the trees almost has the idea. I think the coloring of this image is nice and looks slightly faded. In image 6 the viewer sees an interesting viewpoint of vantage that we understand what it is but it is not on a level we interact with everyday - the roof. The close up section in the front of the image pulls us in but we still want to explore what's happening on the upper right part of the image to allow our eye to travel to multiple points in the image. I think the colorizing of image 8 is the best "vintage" color of the set. It is slightly darkened but saturated at the same time. I think instantly about the age of the image. Continue to push the filters and nice work!
Great shots! Love the landscape photos and the feel of the fall season you put into your work. My favorite picture is photo 11. It reminded me of being young and always wanted a tree house or hut like the one in the photo.
Hi Meghan, these photos really work as a grouping or narrative of a time spent somewhere. Whether this is your home town or you took a vacation, you really captured the beauty of the natural landscape around within the area. These photos could have benefitted from vintage treatments to push them a little further, such as stronger filters or clouding to make them less-readable. #13 and #14 are definitely your strongest images in terms of composition and visual interest. #13 contains the perfect overtone of autumn crispness from close-up to far away. #14 takes a different approach in that it makes me wonder who the subjects in the picture are and even what their relation to one another is.
These are some good shots - I think my favorite one is #9. I really like the desaturation in the image and the tree branches along the water definitely evoke a vintage memory sense to them. In the future, I would just try to add some more variety and different locations to the set of photos.
