For all of my photos I used the camera app that is already on my iPhone, I used the B&W setting and made changes to each photos intensity, neutrals, tone and grain also the lights exposure.
Hello. I enjoy the quality and ominous scenes portrayed in most of your photos. Your closeup shots are really interesting and gives the viewer a different perspective on commonly overlooked objects.
I see you exploring manmade objects in nature - something I often times explore in imagery. The first image of yours that grabs me is the one of the deconstructed baseball. I don't thin this is your strongest image at all but it allows me to look at ideas of destruction and how nature and man will destroy the objects we create. I think your strongest images are 2 and 3. I am guessing these are spider webs? but I can not tell exactly which is kind of neat. I think it reminds me of microscopic images in science but the black and white balance in these images are strong as well.

I really like how you went out and took pictures of different aspects of nature. A lot of your pictures pulled me in to look at it longer. My favorite picture is #5. I love the details of the stitching.
Images #2 and #3 are so etherial and beautiful. The way the light hits the spiderweb in such detail is both creepy yet also feels like a precious image. Awesome! I also enjoy the way your photos seem to follow a narrative of the day, this way it becomes a sort-of photo-journal.
Brittany, I really enjoy Week 3 #3 and Week 4 #1. Each of them are very abstract and hard to decipher, but there is something mysterious about that. I think you did a very good job with coloring, the blacks are nicely crisp and rich without crushing them too much. Good job.
Hi Brittany. You have done a great job at capturing and exploring different textures. In photo 5 you give us a new way of looking at a baseball. This worn, up close view shows that this baseball has seen plenty of action, and is at the end of it's days. 1 is also very interesting to me, as I do not know from where we are seeing you, but I am interested to figure out. Are we spying? hiding? Great work.

Really enjoyed looking through your photos! I like 8 from week 3 and 1 from week 4. 8 is just very interesting, It keeps you wondering what it could be. I like the framing and use of space in #1.

ReplyDeleteBrittany I really liked number 5 from week 2. The contrast made the sculpture stand out.
