  1. Hello. Your use of natural lighting within the frane really makes the photo more compelling. However, my favorite photo frm this set has to be number 8. The lack of detail, the ominous structure looming in the distance, and the use of tint makes this photo really stand out.

  3. Loren,

I really enjoy photo 9. I think the way that you have forced a frame for us in the trellis allows us to know your intention of focus. I think this image also works because as the perspective of the path goes back into space it pulls us in. The leaves on the trellis creates a shaded walkway and at the end of the walkway is a very illuminated door. The transition of light in the space also pulls me in and allows me to begin to apply potential narratives to the photo.

  5. My favorite photo is #9. I like the view and perspective that it gives. It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland for some reason. The lighting played a key role in your photos and gives every picture a different point of view.

  6. Hello Lauren. You have an eye. Undeniably you have an eye. I specifically loved photo 8. It has a sense of abandonment present in it. The photo itself is as decrepit as the subject within. I feel pity for whoever has a view of this wreck from their own window. Beautifully haunting... Great work, Loren.

  8. I think the first photo is your best. The subject matter is interesting and I like the contrast in the sky above.

  9. You have a lot of interesting subject matters. I personally like #6 the most because part of your perspective is missing so have a limited amount of information about the photo.
