Hi Rachel, nice photos I like how you thought to use the app to blur out any distracting marks in your photos. I think your best shot is #15. I like how you captured the squirrel in action.
I am really drawn to what you have set up in photo 6. I enjoyed it ever since you posted it. I think the way the image is organized can set up a dialogue for discussion. The figure looks almost caught off guard looking at these sharks, or photos of sharks sort of in an aquarium like setting. Meanwhile, the way you captured the shot, that figure looking at the "caged" sharks is also becoming caged in the photo. I think it sets up an interesting dialogue for a number of things this could mean. Continue to explore these more mysterious shots.

I agree with Ashley, I really like number 6! I like that it holds a mystery to it. It makes the viewer think about what the girl in the photo is thinking about. I also like your beach pictures, a lot of them are similar to the ones that I took and submitted.
I think your self-portrait in #11 is very nice! It's detailed but still vague enough to grab attention with the movement upwards from the hair. I am curious about #16, as it is a little too dark for viewers to understand. Maybe raising the brightness slightly to give just a little bit more information would be beneficial.
Rachel, you have a very good eye for composition. I think my favorite picture is number 10. The empty space left on the bottom of the frame is great, and the framing of the tree adds some mystery to it. I think overall these are some great pictures. Good job.
Hi Rachel, I love your composition in almost all of your photos. I specifically like 7 and 15. In 7 all we see is the tree. We have no idea as to where this tree is, or what the weather is like, but we merely see the tree and the sky behind it. It's almost as if the tree floats or drifts through the sky. 15 I love because it really accurately captures the spirit of these city squirrels. They are wild animals who have been changed and have adapted to their urban setting.
I like how you got on a different level to take your last photo. I think your best is your first self portrait, I like that the framing & how it only shows part of you.

ReplyDeleteRachel it seems nature inspired your photos which is cool. I really liked number 7. The contrast between the tree and the sky was appealing.
